Tubu weaving a new life
The outdoor is chilly and the interior is warm. In Zhangzhuang Village, Feixiang District, Bengbu City, Hebei Province, a row of women sat on the old loom, and the shuttle in their hands shuttled back and forth, and the colorful flowers and cloths “flowed” from under the hand.
Yuan Jianmei, 48, is a poor household in Zhangzhuang Village. He has “learned at home and learned the craft of weaving. Now he can earn more than 60 yuan a day at home.” Yuan Jianmei said.
The traditional cotton textile in Feixiang District is a unique cultural relic in southern Hebei. It has a history of 700 years, complicated craftsmanship and unique patterns. Zhangzhuang Village is the most representative of Tubu Textile. In 2008, Zhangzhuang “traditional cotton textile technology” was included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list.
To increase the value of traditional coarse cloth is Yuan Jingguo, chairman of the traditional cotton cooperative in Zhangzhuang Village, Feixiang District. His cooperative uses Zhangzhuang Village as the production base and adopts the “cooperative + farmer” production mode, taking advantage of its own equipment, technology and channels. , carry out various types of cooperation with farmers.
Yuan Jingguo introduced that the cooperative uses pure cotton yarn as raw material and is made by hand. From the cotton-spun yarn to the upper weaving machine, 72 processes are required, and 22 basic color lines can transform more than a thousand kinds of pepper, twill and fish eyes. The colorful patterns and the woven fabrics are breathable and the style is simple and generous.
How can a cooperative in a village drive the surrounding villagers to get rich? According to Yuan Jingguo, the cooperative now has three modes: “working mode”, which provides cotton, weaving machines, weaving technology, workplaces, and farmers to fixed sites to produce soil. Weaving, earning processing fees; "small farmer mode", after the farmers have passed the training, they buy cotton thread from the cooperative and use their own weaving equipment to engage in production and sales activities; "lease model", the farmers are engaged in production at the cooperative, paying After a certain fee, take the products you produce and bring them home for sale.
Nowadays, with the development of cooperatives, not only traditional textile techniques can be protected, but also play a role in poverty alleviation. Yuan Jingguo said that most of the villages are left behind women and they have learned textile technology. They care for both the family and the income. According to statistics, by leveraging traditional textile skills, more than 2,000 local farmers have stepped onto the road to prosperity, and more than 400 people have been lifted out of poverty.
